I was tossing up whether to put this under bread or baking category... but as you can see, I did both It can be used as a bread... but also like a cake (too obvious? Sorry)
This is a recipe from Tenina's website - she is an official recipe developer for Thermomix and has her own website full of yummy recipes.
I have to say that this is one of the easiest things I've made in the thermomix! Chuck it in, whizz it, cook it! And the taste? DIVINE!
I didn't have any spelt flakes - never heard of them to be honest - and WAY too impatient to go and find some - so I used rolled oats instead.
And... as for fresh dates - they might be available somewhere... but I had PLENTY of the dried variety so I just used them and whizzed for an extra 10 seconds.
It really was delicious. Moist and tasty! Kept fresh for a couple of days... might have kept fresh for a week as far as I know - it only lasted a couple of days before we ate it all :-)
