Moroccan Lamb

I was doing a really fun demo the other day, and one of our Thermomix purchasers was there.  She was telling me about a recipe that they do quite regularly.  Although she got it from taste.com, it was actually from a great recipe source... Thermomix Forum and thought up by "virgosandra".

well.... it is a HUGE winner.  What a magnificent, easy, fantastic meal!!  It is exotic, it is familiar, it is different and it is comfort food, it is a little naughty and it is extremely healthy - all in one meal!!

I didn't have any lamb when Michelle sent me the recipe, but I JUST HAD TO DO IT immediately!!  So I used the chicken that I had in the fridge.

The recipe said it made enough for 2 big meals, but I had heaps of chicken and a need for something to take for lunches during the week... so I made more than the recipe said.

I used twice as much chicken and 1 1/2 as much everything else.  So where it said 1 can of chick peas, I put in 1 1/2 cans, where it said 1 clove of garlic, I put in 1 1/2 cloves.... you get the idea :-)

Because I didn't know if the extra lot of chicken would be cooked in the final 10 minutes the recipe suggests, AND I wanted the flavours to really soak in, I coooked the last stage for 20 minutes.  Way too much really, but it was fine ..... besides I was reading a lovely book and didn't want dinner that quickly, I wanted to finish it LOL

When the meal was finished, I put it into the thermoserver and then put some water into the thermomix, (Don't wash it) and cooked some rice.  By the time the rice was cooked, the book was finished LOL, the Moroccan "chicken" was settled and still too hot to eat and I got a "tick 'o yum" from John, which doesn't happen too often.
