We had an incredibly sucessful professional cooking class last night with Chef Judyta Slupnicki from Phore Seasons restaurant in Semaphore. (who has had her Thermomix for 4 years and now laughs at the chefs who at first didn't know why she had it and are now going to her for tips for THEIR Thermomix)
She mentioned a really handy hint!
You can chop up to 1kg of onions and then sautee them with 1/2 cup of olive oil (15 - 20 mintues, 100oC, speed 2-3) Cook until onions are really soft - and then keep the resulting sauteed onions in the fridge in a sealed jar for up to 3 weeks!
How handy would that be!
